Depression may Result in Back Pain

Researchers from the University of Alberta followed a random sample of 800 adults and found that depression may be linked to the onset of severe neck or low back pain. They concluded that people who suffer from depression are four times more likely to develop severe low back or neck pain than people who are not depressed. Their findings were published in the journal, Pain (February 26, 2004).
