SERVICES PROVIDED
Dr. Karen uses Applied Kinesiology, CranioSacral Therapy, and gentle adjusting techniques. CranioSacral Therapy works on the soft tissues while the adjusting tool works on moving the joint. She uses Applied Kinesiology to test her patients prior to adjusting them. This way she knows exactly which joint needs to be moved and in which direction.
It's not the force, it's the finesse.
Applied Kinesiology
Dr. Karen uses Applied Kinesiology to test a person before she adjusts them to find out exactly what joint needs to be moved and in what direction.
Gentle Chiropractic:
Dr. Karen uses adjusting tools (Activator and Percussor) and very light touch in her practice.
Adjusting Tool
The adjusting tool is electric and has a rubber tip on the end of it. The rubber tip is the about the size of the end of your finger. It can be put on the one joint you want to move and only move that one joint. There's no popping or cracking with this instrument, which can scare some people.
Percussor
The percussor feels like a massager and it releases the tension in the muscles and in the spine. The percussor is used for doing CranioSacral Therapy.
Manual manipulation is not necessarily needed. The percussor and the adjusting tool are both used in Chiropractic adjustments. There are many patients, including babies, which Dr. Karen only uses the adjusting tool and the percussor for adjustments.
CranioSacral Therapy
Dr. Karen uses her hands and the percussor when performing CranioSacral Therapy. CranioSacral Therapy focuses on the soft tissues.
